Best described as a swim tow float on steroids, the Aquatrek is basically a big, orange, waterproof backpack that you can stash your kit in and tether to your waist, then it will float behind you as you swim. You may be wondering where the appeal for triathletes is - but if you're an open-water swimmer who likes an adventure in training, or a swimrunner looking to train point to point rather than in loops, it would be a good shout. We managed to stash everything we needed for a day in the bag (change of clothes, towel, nutrition) and once zipped and inflated, it bobbed quite happily behind us in calm waters and didn't allow any water in. The stashable backpack straps were comfy, too.
